28 Jul Soles of Love in the Garden: Meet More Kitten Heel Level Sponsors
The parade of Sponsors continues. Today I’m featuring three more of our Kitten [Heel] Level Sponsors. All are accomplished women I’ve been happy to meet in the past year. In addition, I look forward to a growing friendship with each one of them. They are the epitome of the “Must Love Shoes” woman – smart, successful, and savvy in both life and work.
Meet Jessie Doyle! Most people would call her a Realtor but Jessie refers to herself as a Matchmaker! I love her analogy because it truly IS about helping families find just the right home to begin their story. Jessie is a member of the Bob Lucido Team at Keller Williams, a well known and highly respected agency. She loves the fact that Keller Williams has such depth in marketing and support and it enables her to pass that support on to her clients.
Personally, I’ve admired Jessie from afar. Last year, I was a fellow Leadership Frederick classmate of her husband’s and appreciate the way she is able to blend work, family, and community service in a way that inspires us all to do more. Recently, I saw her in action as one of the chairwomen of Cocktails for a Cause – a nonprofit which puts the charity into “Happy Hour.” SO happy to know you, Jessie. Welcome to Soles of Love!
How appropriate that we have a foot and ankle specialist as a Kitten Heel Sponsor for a charity that provides shoes for children! Nothing makes a child perform better in school that having shoes that are comfortable, allowing them to better focus on what’s important.
Meet Dr.’s Levine, Dr. Bell, and Dr. Shamim who head the Frederick practice of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic. Their offices, located at 63 Thomas Johnson Drive, Suite C, in Frederick, provide a wide variety of services to improve and correct your foot and ankle health. Their list of services is quite extensive and cover everything including Orthodics, Sports Medicine, Reconstructive Surgery, and BUNIONS (no more Stilettos for me!) As someone who has had several foot surgeries over the years, I can attest to how important it is to find the right doctor. Your feet are your foundation and no cute shoes in the world will make you feel better if they’re not healthy! 🙂
I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Jennifer Bell this past year. She and her husband Casey were celebrity dancers in the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association Memory Ball. I was captivated by their energy and enthusiasm, and well…. they’re just a great couple to know and they give unselfishly of their time and talent to the community.
I’m thrilled to have Dr. Bell and her colleagues as part of this important charity and plan to be making an appointment at their offices in the near future. Damn bunions!
Jessica Underwood is Principal of JR Capital Build, a luxury/design-build firm based in historic downtown Frederick. Her firm focuses on designing one of a kind architectural interiors, offering both consulting and turn-key services from initial design concept through the completion of construction.
Jessica’s contemporary, high-design aesthetic leverages unique concepts, materials, and finishes that are both locally and internationally sourced. Her work has been featured by Martha Stewart, Fox 45, Huffington Post, Hewlett-Packard, and Frederick Magazine, among others. Her background as a real estate lawyer and commercial broker allow JR Capital Build and its sister company, JR Capital Real Estate, to provide a multifaceted approach to property acquisition, development, and investment matters.
I had the good fortune to meet Jessica this past year when she joined the Rotary Club of Frederick. When you sit with Jessica at Rotary, you can be sure that the conversation will be meaningful, interesting, and always enlightening. Smart girls rule, don’t you think?
Welcome to Soles, Jessica!
Stay tuned for tomorrow when I highlight more fabulous women who have joined forces with this important charity.
